Safe T Marine has been operating since 1994 and became incorporated in 2008.  The company has built on experience gained pimarily in the Defence Sector throughout the UK and overseas, marine and land based structures, which included a mix of both new and historic structures, which were located at some extremely remote locations.  This meant a vast experience was gained using a variety of building materials and types, with solutions engineered for longevity to withstand the harsh marine environments to which they were subjected.

In 1994 STM was set up to predominently undertake marine inspections using HSE qualified Civil Engineer divers and provide related guidance for ongoing maintenance, repairs or replacement structures / facilities.  This rapidly grew to include confined space work, which has many similarities to the diving skill set.  This has further grown in recent years to also include our land based building expertise, for which we have undertaken considerable contracts providing clerk of works  / site engineer expertise and Project Management.

We now offer UAV (drone) surveys, to quickly and safely carry out high level inspections and mapping.  Using UAV's reduces risk to personnel having to access structures at height and can be done without the need for installation of scaffolding or elevated access platforms, thus reducing the cost and set up time required.  These will be undertaken by experienced construction professionals (normally experienced Civil Engineers), who will interpret the initial results as flying progressesand adjust the flight plans as necessary to gain more in depth information at specific locations.  UAV surveys can be used for surveying the building envelope, monitoring purposes and to provide a ''quick look', safely and much cheaper than using traditional techniques.  The type of tasks that lend themselves to aerial surveys are (but not limited to) :- masts, towers, chimneys, lightning conductors, high level roofs, roof mounted plant, industrial roofing, hidden valley gutters, etc.  Additionally aerial services can be used for the monitoring of construction or defects to measure change, preparation of 3D models, ground surveys and for marketing and publicity purposes.  We use state of the art UAV's, capturing video in upto 4k resolution and still photographs upto 16M resolution.  We use the appropriate lense to suit the operation in hand, which allows a greater stand off distance if necessary for safety and operational reasons.
